This diagram accompanies the peer-reviewed, NSERC-supported paper, “River Systems and the Anthropocene: A Late Pleistocene and Holocene Timeline for Human Influence,” and appears in the open access journal “Quaternary”. It was created in collaboration with Prof. Martin Gibling of Dalhousie University's Department of Earth Sciences.The diagram is intended as a graphical abstract and synthesizes many concepts and activities described in the paper, as well as represent/generalize multiple techologies, regions, and cultures of the relevant timespan (10,000 BCE to the early holocene period).
