The Harry J. Enns Wetland Discovery Centre is an environmental education facility located at the edge of Oak Hammock Marsh Wildlife Management Area in Manitoba, Canada. A collaborative effort between Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) and the Province of Manitoba, the Centre’s mission is to connect people with wetlands. It serves as a hub for learning, exploration, and conservation, highlighting the importance of wetlands for wildlife and people alike.

WeatherstonBruer Associates, in collaboration with Lord Cultural Resources, took on an interpretive renewal of the exhibit space,  opening a redesigned visitor experience in May 2025.

My role in the project was to contribute to high-level design development in the concept phase, and then in the production phase build, in collaboration with designers Loren Aytona Arena and Vicki Hornsby, many of the graphics found in the main gallery.

The “wall of species” was one design solution which brought some of the centre’s remarkable collection of mounted specimens out into the exhibit space with a refreshed look and feel, alongside engaging bilingual interpretation.
